our mission, our vision, our team
MISSION
Our mission is to build communities, promote healing, integrate culture, and give people access to personal development. We are here to help build the agency of all peoples we work with and host a platform to share knowledge. With a cultural perspective and technology, we construct innovative ways to access each person’s unique gifts and voice. We utilize research, knowledge, culture, and technology to execute successful programming, building our approach along with each partner we contract with. We exist to share our cultural wisdom of Hip-hop
VISION
We continue to build partnerships and establish a working model of Hip-hop culture and music in a multitude of fields. We will expand on the connections between education and learning; mental health and development; culture and anti-racist ideology. We solve the disconnect of people and their power. We believe in the power of voice and in helping organizations, individuals, and institutions to grow.

Anthony Pineda M.A.
Founder/ Director of Creativity
I founded Creatrix because there is a need for us to learn from culture, heal through culture, and develop ourselves to become the best versions of ourselves. Hip-hop saved my life and I know now this is my calling, to share what I have learned.
I have spent decades studyingHip-hop music building a new theory around Hip-hop studies. I have a deep drive and passion to help usher in a new paradigm for learning.
Dahlak Brathwaite M.A.
Director of Self Expression
Hip-hop is a central aspect to my life and profession. I believe in Hip-hop to help us not only tell our stories, but also craft our story. I have been able to really see what this culture has to offer and know that it can offer so much to the world.
I learned how to connect, build, and express through Hip-hop culture. From freestyles at lunch time in high school to flying back from gigs heading straight for class in college. I found my calling. We all have a calling, we just have to discover it. From mics to the stage, Hip-hop continues to offer me many gifts, gifts I must share.
Luis Heredia B.A.
Director of Sounds
Music found me early in high school. I have always been drawn to it. It gave me an outlet, a voice, and offered me healing. I started producing because it connected me to my feelings, it showed me expression and passion.
After going through life and developing my skills in education, the music reignited my flame once again. I now see how important music is and has been througout my whole life. I want to support others on this journey. I believe we are all on a journey of discovery. I just find the sounds that go with each step we take.
“if poetry is the voice of the soul, seek poetry, so that one day you may reflect back the soul waiting in the mirror, waiting for that day you are truly seen.”
